Coaching is the latest and greatest tool for all who are ready to pursue their dreams. I
have taken it one step further and developed a new approach to coaching or mentoring by taking into account the individuals
learning style.

Coaching, in general, is about helping an individual help himself become the successful
person they know they can be. For a VSL client a different approach is used while
still helping that individual become a successful person. These same techniques can be applied by anyone
wanting to be successful.
The best is yet to come! I am really excited to offer this form of mentoring
or coaching to the Visual Spatial Learners because I am one myself and fully understand
we are different. I always knew, but I didn't appreciate the wonderful gifts I had been blessed with until
recent years. A late bloomer for sure!
What is considered normal for the VSL is very different than
the Sequential Learner! We have a different
meaning for the word "normal" and can miss out so much in life because we don't fully comprehend or appreciate
our uniqueness.
Have you ever had a great idea and could see the whole concept in your mind but then
failed to pursue it because you just couldn't get it together? Too many choices can cause mental confusion and so
you do nothing. However....I have now found the secret to success!
Now I understand why I can do what I do and why I don't do what I can. Sounds crazy I know, but there
are some who completely understand that statement.
BUT, as I said the best is yet to come. I have spent
a great deal of time researching this subject and have created a mentoring/coaching program to help anyone succeed
that has the desire to do so. Some just need different learning tools and methods. You are already gifted you
just need to learn how to apply them to follow your dreams.
Many VSL's
have a negative self image, and experience frustration, alienation, and hopelessness because they had difficulty learning
in the auditory-sequential style of teaching when they were children. Parents, without meaning to, add to the problem
because they don't have a clear understanding of a VSL either. This only complicates
the issue. Now the teacher thinks the child is below average intelligence and that is what is expressed to the parent.
This compounds the child's difficulties because there is NO ONE who understand him either at school or at home.
Many a troubled child grows into a very troubled adult because of the lack of understanding in learning styles.
Don't misunderstand me, not all bad behavior is due to different learning styles.
Many VSP students get bored, restless and lose interest if they aren't challenged enough academically.
They see the whole picture and have trouble with details. They see no need to know the details because they already
have seen the whole picture. Often they are put into remedial classes when they should actually be given more advanced
challenges.
Remember the word success has a different meaning to everyone. Being successful to one person may mean
he has acquired a massive amount of financial wealth while another would consider success as being in a loving, nurturing
relationship with another person.
